The artist describes this painting as two ladies collecting wild coconuts and two ladies at home waiting. The wild bush coconuts can be seen at the centre of the painting. The women collecting them are the 2 “IOU” symbols – the women is the U shape, her digging stick is the solid line and her coolamon or wooden basket is the oval shape. The women at home waiting are the U shapes to either corner. Jessie shows the country from a bird’s eye view with rhythmic sandhills – the Warlpiri country north west of Alice Springs.
