Nora Wompi Nungurrayi

Nora has painted some of her country called Kartu Kartu located near Kunawarritji (Well 33), far to the south west of Balgo along the middle stretches of the Canning Stock Route. The circles in the bottom half of the painting depict pamarr (hills). This is good country for collecting lukarti (witchety grubs), which are found in trees that grow in this area called lungunpa. The lines in the top of the painting are show tali or sandhills.
