Starring – my/our Old Man (I believe he is an angel sent from Ngarte, The Creator, The Boss, Our God)
This is Yipirinya (Alice Springs). Aranda Country, My Dad’s Mum’s people. For thousands of years my beautiful people have lived here. ‘Ngarte’ led us here from somewhere I don’t know. When we arrived he was here, our Old Man, the Rainbow Serpent, our angel given by ‘God’. Teaching all that is sacred, and the truth. The law as we know it. Majestic to behold. Beautiful mountains, hills, gaps, gorges, rivers, creeks, waterholes so precious, this all is. We are taught to look after it all. Truly I say this, we are all so blessed, all of us, not just Aranda people but all. He watches over us and this land, it’s the same all over Australia, the whole earth. Why can’t we all see and know this my brothers and sisters everywhere. As each day comes and goes I’m becoming more aware (spiritual). It’s really happening. I’ve seen many things, it gives me goosebumps, I used to be afraid, now I get so excited for new experiences, they are surely coming, and yes, I just can’t wait to share them with the whole world. This is why I am here in this lifetime. I just got to thank you ‘Ngarte, Jesus, Holy Spirit’, yeah it’s true, you know. Thank you God, for my country, my people, my friends, for everyone on earth. For the one who recognised my talents (painting), he stuck by me through thick and thin. Getting really emotional now, love this feeling, it’s getting stronger I’m being told just to keep painting.
My Nana’s cousin, another old granny, told me one day, she said ‘Cameron aye, you proper Yipirinya kid you.’ I nearly started crying, so proud, so loved, she was telling me I am a caterpillar and one day I will turn into the most magnificent butterfly, so beautiful to behold, and it’s happening right now. I evolving right this minute, and again I’m saying thank you my Old Man, thank you Ngarte, thank you my world, and everybody on it. This is our home, this planet, so beautiful. Please look after it, it’s the only one [we’ve] got, what a gift from our creator, The Boss, as our people say.
If you can ever go to Yipirinya (Alice Springs), go visit all the places, sit quietly, relax, meditate, you will see, feel, hear, in your very soul what I’m talking about. This land is ancient. I am a descendent from these ancient people, and it is Ngarte who gave us this majestic land. Love and respect it, for it is sacred land. All our earth is sacred, love it, and love each other, I do, thank you. Butterfly of light. Cameron.
