I have many dream time stories which come from my grandparents, elders, our ancestors. Some stories we can share and talk about and others are sacred only for our clan, our community. It was not easy for our elders and ancestors to open up to the outside world because of the new lifestyle influences. But they did their best to keep culture and pass that down through song, dance and stories so the future generation can learn. Some changes from outside world was not good and some were good. Yeah out of respect, we never talk much about dream time stories to other people because it’s emotional for us. But this painting is about dream time of family gathering and moving from one camp site to another for relaxation and teaching younger generations our way of life.
