Mary Tjaatju Napangarti

Mary has painted some of her traditional country, which is south west of Balgo, towards the Canning Stock Route. The country depicted here is Yurrumar. In this country is a rockhole called Ngulkil, which is depicted in the painting, with a small, intermittent kiliki, or creek running into it. This place, Ngulkil is known as a ‘living water’ place, because it always contains reliable water.
