“The barramundi totem is big law for many of the people at the top end of Australia. The totem marking of the Barramundi clan in Queensland is different from that of the Territory. This is because it shows the journey through different parts of Queensland – the salt water and freshwater places on the mainland and islands off the coast where the barramundi lives and breeds today. Barramundi people can not eat that fish or they die.”
