Anjolu Heather Umbagai

Heather has painted many works depicting the landscape of her country.  Some are associated with traditional stories, others reflect her love of nature.

Sunset – depicting a red sand yellow sun setting in the artist’s traditional country north of Derby or abstracts of the grasses as they have grown high after the wet season.

These works illustrate Heather’s profound love of the natural landscape of her country.

This work was commissioned in 2006 and painted by Heather Umbagai during a trip to Melbourne in 2006.  A body of work was commissioned at this time.  All materials were supplied to Heather.
