Rosie has painted some of her father’s country, called Lamanpanta, which is south of Balgo in the Great Sandy Desert. Lamanpanta takes its name from a prominent warran, or claypan, which is shown in the centre of the painting. Also in the area are two small tjilla, or springs in the area, and it is good country for kumpultjirri, a small bush fruit. This is the ancestral country of kunika, the spotted quoll.
