This painting is about the strong relationship between turtles and our seas. Seeing turtles out in our coastal lines tells us that our marine environment is still full of life. But we see no turtles it also is a sign that our underwater marine life may be in trouble. We only catch enough fish and seafood to eat so that we don’t destroy the marine life. Turtles have significant place in our traditional story lines.
