Veronica has painted the story of her grandmother, walking around country. Veronica says lots of Wangka Jungka people, in the old days, were always walking all around this country to the plentiful rockholes and soakwaters.
Veronica remembers, her grandmother started at Wangka Jungka (bottom left) and travelled to Kupartiya (aboce Wangka Jungka). “Then she travelled to the biggest rockhole: Tangku.” Then she travelled on to Karingarra. And then to Kurtal.
“My grandmother went all the way. But she passed away here (at Tangku). She saw this place plain country and green. Desert this one. She went here (the green country) and passed away.
