I love my parents. Sadly my father passed on while I was young. My mother raised us on her Country which is also her
traditional land and our home. This painting represents birth stones found on our land. My mother call them birth stones
because they represent fine shape rocks which thousands of years ago emerged from the surface of the earth to form our
natural landscapes. Some of these birthstones were also resting spots at night for our elders traveling to and from Country by foot. Some stones are now covered from heavy rain and flooding and others scattered around our land. They also become markers as guides to our bush walking pointing us to go safely home.
