As an Indigenous Australian, our land is important. We have land boundaries that protect our wildlife, flora and fauna. Wet season takes place between December and June every year. We sometmes call it the big wet season as it rains down heavy through our waterfalls, filling up the billabongs, filling up swimming holes, bringing dry plants back to life including some trees and wild flowers. The wild birds go to the waterholes to have a drink and cool off from the strong heat after wet season. This is wet season landscape on my traditional land boundary. My paintings show 2 birds meeting up and gettng ready to make a new family in a new season. This is totem bird.
