Ronnie Summers is a Tasmanian Aboriginal elder who lives on Cape Barren Island, NE of the Tasmanian mainland. He carves local timbers after the traditional manner of his ancestors. Spears like this one would be given to the elders of another tribe when visiting as a sign of peace.
