Regular childhood visits to my grandmother’s small property were happy times. The creeks, the animals and the surrounding forest have left lasting memories. I loved the times I spend with my sister, and my solo adventures following the wombat and animal trails into the nearby state forest. I remember the things my grandfather taught me, including local knowledge of the edible bush fruits and berries that sustained me on my mini adventures into the forest.
The lines and shapes I created on my painting represent the animal tracks, the creeks, the trees and vegetation, and are a reminder of those great childhood adventures.
