The old man. He is in many places all over this land – not just Aranda country but really high up here at Yipirinya. We have many old men. Ours is most spectacular; majestic, powerful, beautiful, radiantly glowing – he is us and we are him. Our old man is the Rainbow Serpent. Words could not describe. He watches over and his place is sacred. His home is in the water underneath our Earth. My relatives took me to his home in Yipirinya – I’ve been and seen. I also saw him just south of Coober Pedy, SA. The fairy wren bird I saw in 1983 at Wallace Rockhole west of Alice Springs at the juvenile home; there were 3, one red, one yellow and one blue one – This was the Kadatji man. He changes into animals, trees, rocks, whatever he wants. He follows me around. There’s the fish I saw in the 70’s. My dad showed us straight after the big rains west of Alice in the rivers. 1 of the seven sisters is here. She fell in love with the Aranda man, our ancestor. We came from them. Whilst creating the Earth at Yiripinya she fell in love with our ancestor Aranda man.
