This painting depicts seven young aboriginal girls looking for honey ants at Uluru. An old man, Jilbi, wanted to steal two of them to become his wives. Jilbi followed them across the desert but to save them the Spirit beings put the seven girls into the night sky to form the Seven Sister stars or Pleiades. Jilbi became the star Orion and he still pursues the sisters across the night sky. The seven circles depict the seven sisters. Mary has also painted the stars of the night sky and the Milky Way. The wavy lines surrounding the sky depict the sand hills of her country.
