My painting is about two brothers. The older brother is called (Pheasant Bird) Nuchuu and he is in the middle of his family of three on the right side of the painting. On the left hand side, standing in the middle is Puulu, the younger brother with his family. Nuchuu hid a spring water from all the other family. Puulu went to have a talk to his brother asking why the water had stopped. Nuchuu explained to Puulu that he wouldn’t give water to Puulu because Puulu never shared tucker with Nuuchu so both brothers started fighting with spears. When Nuchuu threw the speartowards Puulu, Puulu ducked and threw a stick to the moiving spear. The stick hit the moving spear and both landed between the two brothers on the ground. All of a sudden water gushed out of the ground. An awu (spirit) appeared to both brothers when the spear and stick landed on the ground. The awu told both brothers that they will have to share between themselves. Puulu then told the older brother that from that day on, he would share tucker and they had a new beginning.
