Seven Sister and Morning Star This painting represents the Seven Sisters and the Morning Star. The Seven Sisters are Spiritual Ancestors that travelled around Australia to practise ceremonies that created part of the landscape. An Old Man, Jilbi, followed the ladies as he fell in love with them and hoped for the Sisters to become his wives. The Seven Sisters where not fond of Jilbi and tried hard to hide from him. But Jilbi would always find them. The Seven Sisters then performed a ceremony to hide in the night sky. Jilbi found that they were in the sky, he flew up to follow them there and became the Morning Star. The single concentric circle represents the Morning Star and the others are the Seven Sisters.
