The story:
Where I grew up as a boy, I lived in the Lockhart River community, Cape York Peninsula East Coast Quuensland. A beautiful place situated 850km northeast of Cairns. By plane its 1.5 hours and by road 12 hours drive and has a population of 850 people. This painting is about the IIchi which is the small scrub rain forest. A place of small vegetation.
