The artist has painted her wild bush seed dreaming from the Walpiri country north west of Willowra, an outstation NW of Yuendumu on the Tanami track out of Alice Springs. It is dated 13/10/2003. The painting shows the land at the top which is witchetty grub country. The witchetty grub lives in the wattle trees and is a prized food source for Aboriginal people. In the centre she shows women’s ceremony where boomerangs are being clapped together for music. The lower section shows the women winnowing the seed. These seeds are primarily seeds from the wattle trees and are ground to make a flour. This flour is then mixed with water and cooked to form a bush damper.
