Cameron Ross Kemarre

I was 16 years old. At Amberlindum Station. On horseback I saw the white kangaroo standing on a ridge. I became very sick from staring at it. As in our culture we are not to stare at this particular animal, this is the Kadatji man. To this day I’m still so fascinated by this moment in my life. Forever I shall remember sharing this moment with all people everywhere. I paint the scene for all to see. The culture is always alive.
