Eva Richardson

This dilly bag was crafted by Tasmanian Aboriginal elder Auntie Eva Richardson. It was purchased by an Aboriginal art collecting group – the Nibberluna Collection – from the Moonah Arts Centre in 2002. This collection was auctioned to the collection’s members and this bag was purchased by Art Mob’s director, Euan Hills. It is an excellent example of the use of natural fibres for making functional items and the traditional skills past down through generations of Aboriginal women.
