The story:
Isaiah has painted kunj (kangaroo) in the “x-ray” style with internal organs showing. Kangaroos often feature in bark paintings and are significant animals in Kunwinjku culture. They are prized game as well as being totems for some clans. Kangaroos are herbivorous. “The hand prints are my signature” Isaiah Nagurrgurrba.
