This is Kurtal jila surrounded by small waterholes east of Kaningkarra. The yellow and black represent flowers. Kurtal is the most important site in the area, unlike the other water sources in the area, this place is a spring, and is only dug accompanied by big ceremony. Kurtal is a snake man who came from Lajimanu, travelled through the Kimberly to One Arm Point north of Broome, eventually stopping deep in the Great Sandy Desert.
