Maylene Marshall Napananka Water Dreaming 2007
Acrylic on linen
610 x 915mm

This painting tells one of the many water dreamings from the Papunya area. The white and brown lines represent the elements of a storm – wind, rain, dust, thunderclouds and lightning. They also represent rain and water flowing from the waterholes and flooding the usually dry creek beds.
