Lisa Kanari Jackson was born September 24th, 1971 in Warburton, WA. A Ngaanyatjarra speaker, she originally began her practice at Papulankutja Arts in the 1980’s making paper from spinifex grass. Lisa later moved to Pipalyatjara with her husband Richard, an important cultural leader. She now paints the tjukurpa of the region as well as her own pattern designs.
