Lena Yarinkura

Lena is from the Maningrida community, Yirritjja moeity, Gotjjn subsection. She is a versatile sculptor and works with these media: Fibre – ceremonial regalia, twined baskets, fibre sculptures & dilly bags Other work: bronze & aluminium sculptures Painting with ochres & PVC fixative on stringy bark Wooden objects: Hollow log coffins and carved & painted wooden sculptures. Lena has shown her work in many exhibitions since 1987 and has been published extensively.
