Julie Nangala Robertson

Julie Nangala was born in c.1973 near Pauls Springs, approximately 320 km northwest from Alice Springs, in the vicinity of Yuendumu. She is the daughter of the renowned artist Dorothy Napangardi, who won the 1991 Best Painting in European Media, 8th National Aboriginal Art Award, Darwin, N.T, and recently the 2001 First Prize, ’18th National National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Award’, Darwin, NT.
Julie, herself also has two children, a son and a daughter, and when in Alice Springs she stays with her mother on a property near Alice Springs. Dorothy named the property “Mina Mina”.
