Biography
Born in country to the east of Kiwikurra, Fred Ward Tjungurrayi lived in Warburton, Western Australia before returning to live at Kiwikurra in August 1987. He began painting for Papunya Tula Artists in 1987 and that same year exhibited for the first time at Gallery Gabrielle Pizzi. He has lived at warburton and Patjarr in more recent times.
