Diane completed her high schooling in Darwin. After returning to the Tiwi Islands she became a teacher’s aid at the Pularumpi Primary School. She has studied Community Organisation at Batchelor College. She has been creating artwork with Munupi Arts since early 1994.

Her works are strongly individual and are characterised by fine cross hatching designs with a brush, or alternatively sometimes she will paint her “Jilamara (Body Designs)” on canvas with her finger as was the case before European arrival.
