The artist has painted a billabong scene in X-ray style which demonstrates an intimate knowledge of the animals depicted. The scene is set amongst green algae which appears during the dry season when the oxygen levels deplete. Algae signals potential danger for the animals living in the water. Freshwater animals and plants, abundant in the billabongs, retreat at this time. The artist reminds us that we must look after the water and the environment of which we all depend upon.
