This painting won the first prize in the Yuendumu painting exhibition in 1974 or 1975. This painting tells the story of the Wild Potato at a scared waterhole north west of Alice Springs in Kaapa’s country around Mount Allen. It shows the wild potato top and bottom after the bush fires and each side new growth springing to life in the spring. The corner circles are the camps where the women bring the young girls to teach them the laws. The centre rondell is the water hole at Mount Allen.
