This work was commissioned by the Health Insurance Commission, Hobart in 2004 as a result of Allan’s success with winning the Welcoming Sky competition for a public art project. He transformed his original piece into a painting 2.5m square that was then digitally replicated onto aluminium panels forming a final montage 8 metres square. This montage was then applied to the ceiling of the Sunken Gardens at 188 Collins Street, Hobart and launched to the public by the State Governor, Richard Butler. This commissioned piece was completed by Allan in December 2004.
