Tasha has painted a water dreaming of a place near Yuendumu, 350km NW of Alice Springs in the Tanami Desert area of Central Australia. There is a wind break at the top of the painting that protects the campsite or waterhole where a woman is sitting (U shape). There is water flowing into the waterhole and this water has been created by a lightning storm. The lightning is shown as the series of short parallel lines at both sides of the painting. The colours used are typical of the artists at Warlukurlangu Artists art centre. This art centre commenced operation in 1985 – just 14 years after the dot painting movement started at Papunya (about 100km south) in 1971/72.
Cash – locally only – up to $10,000 only. Layby facilities available. Card details can be advised securely using WhatsApp.
